AMP Welcomes Jennifer Legenza and Matthew Knoche

LOS ANGELES – August 9, 2022. AMP, the world leader in the energy management for e-mobility, today announced the appointment of Jennifer Legenza and Matthew Knoche as the Vice President of Finance and the Director of Systems Engineering, respectively. Jennifer Legenza and Matthew Knoche join AMP as head of Finance and Systems Engineering.

Jennifer will be spearheading the Finance function of AMP from its headquarters in Los Angeles. She has extensive experience in corporate FP&A and strategy, FP&A process implementation and management, along with fundraising, capital allocation, and M&A strategy primarily with early and growth stage organizations. Jen has focused her career on corporate finance functions within start-ups and private equity assets since shifting her efforts from investment banking at Citi.

“Jennifer brings a great combination of financial discipline, capital raising, and experience working with fast-growing young companies,” says Michael Rice, Co-Founder of AMP. “We are growing quickly and need someone that could hit the ground running. That is Jennifer. We are delighted to have her join us at AMP.”

Matt brings with him more than 25 years of experience in conventional ICE, hybrid, and electric powertrains in both traditional OEMs like Jeep, Chrysler, and start-up environments like ABS – American Battery Solutions. He has worked in all phases of the software/controls life cycle as well as powertrain integration with the development of low and high-voltage battery systems. Matt’s diverse background in the industry, along with his passion for innovative solutions in the battery/powertrains space, make him uniquely qualified to lead the AMP systems engineering team.

Anil Paryani, CEO of AMP said, “AMP’s engineering DNA stems from a foundation in the traditional space, but with successful experience in the start-up world. Matt further exemplifies who AMP is, and where AMP is going. Based in Detroit, Matt understands the processes and culture of the traditional OEMs and supplier partners. Yet, Matt can roll up his sleeves and develop innovative technologies faster than others.”
